Hello Lions,

Thank you to those who made it out to Mountain Park this past Saturday for training. The next and final session is this coming Saturday the 21st, at West Gwinnett Aquatic center. Closer to home :) If you are signed up to volunteer at all for set up/breakdown, it is imperative that you make it to the morning session. It is quick, concise and super easy to understand. We want to be as prepared as we can be to set up our own meets, as well as being a helping hand to other teams.

Regarding console and computer, we definitely want to have a handful of volunteers trained. Though it technically only takes 1-2 people at each of these stations, we need back up for emergencies and scheduling.

These are all home meet responsibilities. Since we do not have a home meet until much further into the season, we will take some time to rotate and shadow some other teams as they set up, run the console and computer. Seeing it in action will go a long way to solidifying the training we received. We have already another team reach out and ask if we'd be willing to have one of our computer people sit at the table with them as an extra pair of eyes.

Saturday, October 21, at West Gwinnett Aquatic Center

The sessions are broken down as follows:

The MORNING in-person training session will be from 9:00am-12:00pm and will be divided into groups that will cover the Meet Setup, Meet Breakdown, Meet Director responsibilities, and another group for Console Training.

The AFTERNOON training will be from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, both in-person in the classroom, and online via Zoom Meeting. This training will cover the computer software (Meet Manager 8.0), and items to do before, during, and after the swim meet. The in-person training is for anyone who would like to see the software and use it on a computer during the Zoom Meeting. 

Please let me know who will be attending the computer training since we will need to pass the team computer on to you for that training.
