Congrats to you and your county qualifying swimmer! The GCHS championship meet is a fun experience which also requires MANY hands to pull off. The county board has given each team their specific duties that we must fulfill. I will outline these requirements below, as well as the job descriptions. 

>>> If you have a "DIVE ONLY" swimmer, there will be more info to come regarding your Friday session. The jobs below should be fulfilled by SWIM ONLY parents.<<<< 

Benefits of volunteering during county!!! NO admission cost for the volunteer and PRIME viewing, as you will have a badge that will allow you on deck. The county meet is PACKED. Having a job is your for sure way to have access and the best views you could want.

SESSIONS and REPORT TIMES FOR WORKERS:

Thursday 1/18 Girls Prelim Workers – report to WGAC for Girls Swim @ 9:30am 

Thursday 1/18 Boys Prelim Workers – report to WGAC for Boys Swim @ 5pm

Friday 1/19 Dive Workers – report to WGAC for Girls diving at NOON**Boys at 3PM. **Dive admission – Please arrive by 11:45 AM for Girls and 2:30 PM for Boys

Saturday 1/20 SWIM FINALS – report to West Gwinnett Pool for Swim Finals @ 12:30pm >>> security- arrive at 11:00 AM

Prelims are on the same day. However, boys and girls are considered 2 different sessions. This means 2 separate admissions if you plan to attend both. There is a break in between at which time the aquatic center will be completely cleared out until the next session. HINT: if you have a boy AND girl swimmer, and want to sign up for BOTH sessions, you must state that. You can then forgo all admission :)

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Perspective: We have a minimum 17 positions to fulfill, and as of now, 24 qualified swimmers. This means it's going to require all of us)

DESCRIPTIONS:

Worker Coordinator - This person shall be present during the entire meet to obtain replacements for any missing workers. This person should not have another job. You are responsible for handing out security badges in the lobby which are required to gain access to the pool area. Report to admissions table. Please assist with cleanup at the end of each session and collect all badges to be turned in prior to leaving the facility.

Traffic/Security - You will be responsible for controlling the flow of people in the pool area/lobby/parking lot and spectator area. Only people with proper security credentials will be allowed in the lower level. You will also assist admissions personal in controlling the entry of spectators.

Timers - You will be working at the start end of the pool. You will be timing the events. The Head Timers will act as the backup timers. There will be a Timers & Runners Meeting held at 9:30 am /5 PM, which you will be required to attend. Please listen for the announcement. At the end of the session, return clipboards/ pencils to the Head Timer. Computer operator will provide clipboards and pencils. Each team should provide stopwatches.
